This website is operated by Magic Dough. Throughout this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Magic Dough. This policy explains what personal information we collect through magicdough.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices available to you. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information you give us

When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect:

• your name, company and email address, which are required to respond;
• your phone number, if you choose to provide it;
• the type of enquiry, product of interest and estimated volume you select;
• anything you write in the message field.

We also receive whatever personal information you include when you email or call us directly.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider records standard technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers or cookies on this website.

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. To display them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address. Google's handling of that information is described in its privacy policy.

How we use your information

We use the personal information we collect to:

• respond to your enquiry and follow up on it;
• prepare quotations, samples and product information you have asked for;
• manage an ongoing business relationship with you or your company;
• operate and protect the website;
• meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to send you marketing without your consent.

Consent

By submitting an enquiry, you consent to us collecting and using the information you provide for the purposes described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to any legal or contractual restrictions. If you do, we may no longer be able to respond to your enquiry or continue working with you.

Service providers and storage outside Canada

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf in order to provide their services:

• Vercel hosts the website and processes the technical request information described above.
• Resend delivers enquiry form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Google serves the fonts used on the site.

These providers are located in, or may process information in, the United States and other countries outside Canada. Information processed there is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessible to their courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, including any ongoing business relationship and our legal and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted connection, and we use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, or withdraw your consent to its use. Send your request to the contact details below. We will respond within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity before releasing any information.

Other websites

This site links to other services, including Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps. Those services are not operated by us, and their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated.
